Elsewhere was born during the pandemic when it seemed like everything was not as it appeared to be. I began to imagine an alternate universe, more harmonious, where joy, not fear, is fostered. As I work, I foster those feelings inside myself. The pieces—the beings and their flora and fauna-- are the outcome of that inner optimism.
